Agreement

By purchasing, installing, or using any World Gallivant software, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the software.

What you're buying

Each World Gallivant product is a one-time purchase granting you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that product. All future updates to a purchased product are included at no additional cost. You are not buying ownership of the underlying source code.

Product categories

World Gallivant publishes two types of software:

Vessel management modules run on a server you own and operate aboard your vessel. Each license key permits two simultaneous server activations — covering a primary and backup server, a hardware upgrade overlap, or a small two-vessel setup. You may deactivate an activation at any time from the app's settings to free up a slot. One additional grace activation per key per 12-month period is permitted to cover hardware failure.

Standalone apps run entirely on your personal device. These are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to the respective store's standard license terms in addition to these terms.

Trials

Where a trial is offered, it is usage-based with no time limit. You can use the trial indefinitely at the capped scale. When the usage limit is reached, you cannot add more of that item type — but you can delete existing items and add new ones within the cap. Your data is never locked or deleted. Purchasing the product removes the cap entirely.

Your data, your responsibility

All World Gallivant software stores data locally — on your server or on your device. We do not have access to your data at any time. You are responsible for your own backups.

No warranty

World Gallivant software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any specific use case.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, World Gallivant and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the software, regardless of the cause of action or theory of liability. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

Vessel safety disclaimer

World Gallivant vessel management modules are convenience and organizational tools. They are not certified safety systems and must not be relied upon as the sole source of safety-critical information including but not limited to bilge alarms, fire detection, man-overboard alerts, or navigation. You are responsible for maintaining proper standalone safety equipment aboard your vessel at all times regardless of any World Gallivant module's status or output.

Prohibited use

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or decompile World Gallivant software. You may not share license keys with individuals outside your household or vessel crew. You may not use the software for any unlawful purpose.

Refund policy

Where a usage-based trial is offered, all sales are final — you have the opportunity to evaluate the product at limited scale before purchasing. For products purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, refunds are handled by the respective store according to their policies. If you experience a technical issue that prevents the software from functioning, contact us and we will work to resolve it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
