Privacy Policy

The short version

All World Gallivant software runs locally — on a server you own or on your personal device. Your data lives on your hardware, under your control. That's the whole idea.

How our software works

World Gallivant is designed so that your data stays with you. There are no cloud accounts, no sync services, and no remote servers involved in day-to-day use. Everything — your recipes, your inventory, your photos, your projects — is stored on your own hardware and stays there.

There is no telemetry, no usage tracking, and no advertising in any World Gallivant product.

License activation

Vessel management modules use a one-time activation when you first enter your license key. This sends your key and a device identifier to our activation server — nothing else. No name, no email, no personal information. Once activated, the module runs entirely offline.

Standalone apps purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are licensed through the respective store and have no activation step on our end.

iCloud and third-party sync

Some World Gallivant products may offer optional iCloud sync to back up or transfer your data between devices. This feature is off by default. If you choose to enable it, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account and governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy. World Gallivant does not access, read, or control your iCloud data.

When you reach out to us

If you contact us through the website or by email, you share your name and email voluntarily so we can write back. That's all we use it for — we won't add you to a mailing list or share it with anyone.

Some World Gallivant products include an optional feedback form. This sends a star rating, an optional comment, the app version, and the platform. Feedback is anonymous — there's no way for us to know who sent it.

Purchases

Purchases made through worldgallivant.com are processed by Stripe. Your payment details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store card information. Purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are handled entirely by the respective store. In both cases, the payment provider's own privacy policy applies.

Our website

worldgallivant.com uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for anonymous, aggregate traffic data. There are no cookies, no tracking scripts, and no way for us to identify individual visitors.

Children's privacy

World Gallivant is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If anything here changes, we'll update the date at the top and post the new version. Given how our software is built, that's unlikely to happen often.
